90 Day Fiancé star, 54, asks his 23-year-old Filipino bride-to-be to take an STD test

TLC’s ’90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ star Big Ed has asked his girlfriend Rosemarie to take an STD test — and it’s spelling trouble for their relationship.

In a clip from Sunday night’s episode obtained by People, Ed, 54, asks Rosemarie, 23, to get tested for sexually transmitted diseases to put him at ease.

But Rosemarie is not thrilled about the request, telling him she feels ‘disappointed’ and ‘offended’ that he doesn’t trust her.

Ready to wed? She seems shocked when he asks her and tells her he feels ‘uncomfortable’ with her past

The couple met for the first time when Ed, from San Diego, California, flew to the Philippines to propose to Rosemarie.

But though he was ready to say ‘I do’ at that time, he is still uneasy that he knows so little about her romantic life before meeting him.

‘I know you’re tired of me asking about your past and I don’t want to do that anymore. I want to put it behind us,’ he tells her at a restaurant in the Philippines in the new clip.

‘But I have a favor. So there’s a test that you can take. It’s a test for um, for um — I don’t know if you understand. It’s STD, which is, I think it’s a blood test and they just test to see, um, if you have, um, sexually transmitted disease.’

‘So I was asking if you’re willing to take that test. I will never ask you another question about your past,’ he tells her.

Rosemarie looks shocked and confused, her brow furrowing dramatically. Her expression soon turns to sad.

Ed tells her: ‘I don’t mean to offend you. But every time I asked you about your Facebook friends, every time I asked you about past relationships, you don’t want to talk about it’

‘I’m disappointed. You want to test me. I feel you [do] not trust me. I feel offended,’ she says.

In a confessional, she tells the camera she feels hurt, adding: ‘I feel my heart crack.’

But Big Ed says that wasn’t his intention.

‘I don’t mean to offend you. But every time I asked you about your Facebook friends, every time I asked you about past relationships, you don’t want to talk about it. So I’m not comfortable,’ he says.

Speaking to the camera, he adds: ‘I want her to take the STD test because I want to know for myself that I can trust her. And that, you know, she’s not someone that sleeps around.’

The couple initially met online through Facebook, when Ed came across her picture and liked what he saw.

Big gap: Ed has also spoken about their 31-year age gap, saying he and his daughter had a falling out over it

‘She had beautiful eyes. I added her as a friend. And one day we just started chatting. And then from chatting, it led to Facetiming. And she started to send me pictures,’ he told Fox News.

‘She would videotape me first thing in the morning. So it’s kind of cute. And I have never experienced anything like this in my life.’

He also address their 31-year age gap.

‘My biggest naysayer is my daughter Tiffany, and my mom, of course,’ he said. ‘The hardest thing through this whole process was the effect that this had on my daughter. My daughter is six years older than Rosemarie. And so she took it really hard.’

‘We stopped speaking. I didn’t talk to her for, you know, four weeks. I was, however, able to reconnect at the airport before I left for the Philippines. So that was a nice, wonderful surprise.’

He added that Rosemarie told him that she wasn’t concerned about the age difference, though.

‘And at that point, I never thought about it again. It just never was an issue. It was more of an attraction and the feelings that we, we begun to develop for each other,’ he said.
