But the Swedish actor avoided a congratulatory kiss with the Aussie star when he won Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television at the Golden Globes on Sunday evening.
Meanwhile, as the 51-year-old actress collected her own Golden Globe for the hit HBO series, she planted a wet one on her husband Keith Urban before delivering an emotional speech dedicated to the country music star.

It was a big night for Alexander – who played Nicole’s husband in the award-winning drama.
He nabbed Best Supporting Actor in a TV or Limited Series for the series and while he didn’t celebrate by locking lips with Nicole, he did rave about her in his speech.
‘I am here tonight because I had a privilege of working with a group of extraordinarily talented women. Most of them are in this room tonight,’ he said, thanking the producers as well as Big Little Lies’ author, Liane Moriarty.

‘Especially Nicole. Hi. Not that you’re, like, more talented than the other girls. Especially Nicole because most of my scenes were with Nicole. You guys are amazing. Nicole, I love you. Thank you for making this the greatest experience of my career.’
A seemingly more restrained Nicole stayed in her seat and clapped politely, and expressed her pride over her co-star’s accolade by blowing kisses to him.

Meanwhile, the Australian actress took to the stage earlier in the night to collect a gong for her work on Big Little Lies and ensured it was Keith on the receiving end of her loved-up display this time around.
In a heartfelt acceptance speech, Nicole thanked her country singer husband, gushing: ‘Keith Urban, when my cheek is against yours, everything melts away.’
The talented star also used the moment to sing the praises of her Big Little Lies co-stars, Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Zoe Kravitz, and Shailene Woodley.
