But Drew Barrymore couldn’t wipe the smile from her face as she and David Hutchinson went to Hollywood’s ArcLight cinema on Tuesday evening.
David is the senior vice president of Maesa, which makes the actress’ Flower Beauty products.

The couple were careful not to be seen holding hands or engaging in any other PDA as they strolled to the theater.
Rumours first swirled in May that they could be in a relationship.
That’s when they were first spotted together a year after the 42-year-old’s divorce from husband Will Kopelman, 39, came through.
The following month they were seen ‘holding hands’ and ‘having a lively conversation,’ an onlooker told Us.

That certainly wasn’t the case on Tuesday evening, despite Drew’s bright smile.
The Never Been Kissed star was casually dressed in a black shawl with a grey American Indian-inspired pattern that she wore over a black blouse tucked into olive green pants.
Drew, who didn’t appear to be wearing any make-up, completed her ensemble with a natty black hat that she popped over her blonde tresses.

David layered up on the chilly evening in a black padded Hally Hensen jacket, a blue and red plaid shirt and a black T-shirt plus dark navy jeans and a baseball cap.
It was a grown up night out for the star of Netflix TV series Santa Clarita Diet.
Drew shares daughters Frankie, three, and Olive, five, with Will, to whom she was married from 2012 to 2016.

The amicable co-parents concentrated on giving their little girls the best holiday season imaginable.
Meanwhile, the Charlie’s Angels star is busy with her film and TV career. Netflix has renewed her comedy horror The Santa Clarita Diet, which Drew also produces, for a second season.
She is also due to be executive producer on TV show The Black Rose Anthology via her Flower Films production company.
