Police are urgently searching for a diver who went missing off Western Australia’s Gascoyne Coast.
The 30-year-old man was last seen on Tuesday afternoon near Red Bluff at Quobba Station, about 970km north of Perth.
The man failed to resurface while fishing and diving some 800m off the coast with two of his friends.
The man’s friends alerted police to his disappearance.
Specialist diver crews have been deployed to the area in a bid to locate the man.
The crews are coordinating the search for the missing diver.
Marine rescue volunteers from further south in Carnarvon also arrived to Red Bluff assist with the search.
A drone has also been used in the efforts.

Red Bluff is in the southern reaches of the Ningaloo Marine Park which covers 2,435sqm.
The area is popular with fishers, surfers and campers for its deep under-sea canyons and diverse aquatic life.
An estimated 200,00 people visit the area each year.
