A Current Affair’s Tracy Grimshaw discusses experiences amid #MeToo

As a veteran journalist and host of A Current Affair, Tracy Grimshaw has seen the industry change and evolve over the years.

And speaking to Stellar on Saturday, the 58-year-old shared her thoughts on the #MeToo movement, saying she’d herself had negative experiences.  

‘I’ve certainly had inappropriate things done to me over the years, but everyone draws their line in different places,’ she told the magazine.

‘Just because it doesn’t bother me, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t bother other women,’ she added. 

However the TV host goes on to say that she won’t be putting pen to paper and telling her life story any time soon as she prefers to keep her private life private. 

‘There’s nothing I’d like less than to write a book on me. I’d rather recede into the background,’ she tells the magazine. 

In 2011, the TV host confessed she does her best to stay out of the spotlight.

She admitted to Good Weekend magazine: ‘My instinct is to fly under the radar at all times’ but added that she understands people’s curiosity in her life.’ 

The Stellar article also counters claims that Tracey is shy, accusations that she herself has denied in the past.        

Tracy slammed reports that claimed she suffered from ‘crippling shyness’ in 2017, telling Australian Women’s Weekly the rumours of her ‘condition’ were ‘rubbish’.
