A dapper Tom Cruise waves to fans as filming for Mission Impossible 7 continues

Production on Mission Impossible 7 began again at the end of last month, after being paused and delayed multiple times due to the coronavirus pandemic.

And a dapper Tom Cruise was pictured waving to fans at Birmingham’s Grand Central Station on Monday, after it was made to resemble Dubai Airport for the film.

The sighting came after the 59-year-old Hollywood actor surprised a delighted family when his helicopter landed in their garden in Warwickshire.

Concealing his gaze behind stylish aviator sunglasses and wearing a face mask in between takes, the Top Gun star appeared in great spirits as he waved to onlookers.

It proved to be quite a busy day for Tom who landed his helicopter in a fan’s garden.

Alison Webb’s family lapped up the Hollywood royalty’s arrival, after previously being told an unnamed VIP needed somewhere to land as a result of Coventry Airport being temporarily closed.

Not only did the three-time Golden Globe winner pose for pictures, he gave a ride in his helicopter – for free – to Alison’s children and their friends.

Alison was informed that her field was required for a helicopter to land for an ‘unnamed VIP who was running late’, as the nearby airport was temporarily closed.

Tom didn’t hesitate offering the free helicopter ride to Alison’s children, his pilot taking them for a fly as he attended a meeting.

Alison described the day as ‘incredible’ and ‘surreal’, whilst struggling to believe it happened.

Last month, Tom appeared in good spirits outside the Hilton Doubletree hotel after being greeted by 200 fans as he arrived to resume filming for Mission: Impossible 7.

A source told MailOnline that Tom happily met with fans who had been waiting outside the hotel for more than an hour.

‘He was really kind, fist bumping children and the like,’ a source said. ‘When he came out he was keen to interact with everyone, he spent a considerable amount of time and was not in a rush at all.’

Tom has spent much of the last year in the UK filming for the acclaimed franchise and has been pictured filming action-packed scenes in the Yorkshire Moors in recent months.

He was also seen mingling with David Beckham at Wembley Stadium for the Euro 2020 final.

Last month, Mission: Impossible 7 filming was reportedly paused again due to a positive Covid-19 test with crew members speculating it could be Tom.

Despite there being ‘no proof’ to back up the idle talk, it was claimed that people were gossiping it could be Tom, due to his alleged absence on set.

Mission: Impossible 7 is set to be released on May 27th, 2022.
