A grocery store owner beats off a tomahawk-wielding robber by pelting him with cans of tuna

This is the dramatic moment a grocery store manager confronted an intruder with baby formula, tuna cans and Pringles.

Store Manager Baz Rizk pelted the potential robber with the shopping items until he surrendered to ‘teach him a lesson’.

Mr Rizk dashed to the end of the aisle and started throwing the food at the robber before he ran away in fear, Nine News reported. 

Two women shop assistants were also captured on CCTV footage grabbing a baseball bat to chase down the man.

The brave shop manager said he just kept ‘pelting’ the culprit until he gave up. 

‘I wanted to get this guy, take him down, and teach him a lesson,’ he said.

‘I just kept pelting until he dropped. 

‘He copped four tins of tuna to the head, some pringles and some baby formula and he ran for his life.’ 

Queensland Police told Daily Mail Australia they are investigating the incident.
