A look inside the INCREDIBLE home renovation on Channel Nine’s Buying Blind

Channel Nine’s Buying Blind tracks prospective homeowners as they hand over their own money to let three experts buy and renovate a property on their behalf.

And the first couple to partake in the radical real estate experiment are certainly thrilled with the result.

On Tuesday night’s premiere episode of the program, Wollongong newlyweds Jess and Fotis Lambis shed tears of joy when designer Shayna Blaze, builder Marshall Keen and property buyer Rich Harvey showed them through their new home.

The trio of experts came in $130,000 under budget, purchasing a two-storey house in the Illawarra suburb of Kanahooka.

Marshall and Shayna then made structural and aesthetic changes to both the interior and exterior of the property.

Prior to the makeover, the kitchen of the home featured a wooden bench top and a dated range hood set above the stove.

Chic black cupboards were also added for extra storage space, extending the kitchen and dining area outwards.

Upstairs, the bedrooms of the home were also overhauled.

At the time of purchase, one room was painted in a grey-blue colour, making it feel small and dark.

Shayna and Marshall decided to brighten up the sleeping space with coat of fresh white paint, also painting the windowsills and adding in new blinds.

The front of the home was bagged, with coastal white replacing the 1980s brickwork and daggby brown garage door.
