  • Coles Stikeez collectables have been an extremely successful promotion
  • A supermarket chain in South Africa has run a second Stikeez promotion
  • Their sequel collection is based on sea creatures

Coles has sent Australian collectors into a frenzy with their Stikeez craze and now we may have an insight into what a possible sequel range of the plastic collectables will look like.

The Pick ‘N Pay chain of supermarkets in South Africa also runs the Stikeez promotion and followed up their initial miniature series with Stikeez 2, Creatures of the Deep.

We only have to look over to South Africa where the Pick ‘N Pay chain of supermarkets also run the promotion and who followed up their miniature series with Stikeez 2, Creatures of the Deep

Stikeez 2 featured figurines of a variety of sea creatures, such as whales, sharks, fish, squids and crabs, and some glow in the dark.

Shoppers in South Africa were also able to get their hands on a Submarine Collector’s Album and a range of plush toys.

There was also an accompanying app with a mobile game that was used to help people find them, catch them and add them to the collection.

The South African supermarket group said it had raised turnover by 8.5 percent thanks to the first campaign, despite an increasingly challenging market environment.
