Aaron Carter insists he’s ‘in a really good place’… after receiving a restraining order against ex Lina Valentina following domestic dispute

He recently ended things with his physically and emotionally abusive girlfriend.

But Aaron Carter insisted things were looking up as he stepped out for some car shopping in Los Angeles on Friday.

The 31-year-old singer told TMZ that he’s ‘in a really good place’ despite recent turmoil where he filed for and received a restraining order against his ex, artist Lina Valentina.

‘I’m great man, I’m great,’ he assured his fans. ‘I’m in a really good place … I’m focused on my music.’

Aaron claimed his ex-partner violently attacked him during a confrontation in the early hours of July 31, a matter of days before he confirmed their separation. 

‘I’m focused on living a good, happy life and enjoying myself,’ he added.

Carter received a restraining order against his ex earlier this week and she must reportedly stay at least 100 yards away from the pop star. 

‘I’m going to use this as something to you know, stay positive … and live and learn cause I’m growing,’ Carter said.

The Candy singer added that he’s at the point in his life where he wants continue growing as a person and as an artist.

‘You have a chance to either make the right decisions and grow up, or stay where you and you’re never going to grow,’ he said.

The Sooner or Later singer told the court that Valentina ‘carries a knife with her,’ ‘has threatened to stab [him]’ and on July 30, punched him in the face, according to The Blast.  

And while his heart was recently broken, he’s staying optimistic about the future.

‘I’m single,’ he said. ‘I’m the bachelor man, you need to put me on The Bachelor.’
