Like the rest of the football world, Peyton Manning is shocked by Aaron Rodgers’ injury in his Jets debut.
‘He’s hurt. Holy cow, I cannot believe this,’ Manning said on ESPN’s ‘Manningcast’ with his brother Eli Manning.
‘I thought it was just an ankle. I thought we’d go tape it up and get him back in there, come on!’
Eli was in disbelief as well after Rodgers got hurt on his first series.

‘Three plays, four plays?’ he said.
Patrick Mahomes also commented on the injury, tweeting ‘Hate that, man. Praying for the best,’ with a prayer emoji.
Rodgers’ longtime Packers teammate David Bakhtiari, meanwhile, raged against MetLife’s artificial playing surface, which has seen a significant amount of injuries in the past.
‘Congrats @nfl. How many more players have to get hurt on ARTIFICIAL TURF??!,’ he said.
‘You care more about soccer players than us. You plan to remove all artificial turf for the World Cup coming up. So clearly it’s feasible. I’m sick of this..Do better!’
On just his fourth play in Jets’ green, Rodgers dropped back on first down from the Jets’ 43-yard-line and tried to roll out to his left, before being sacked by Leonard Floyd for a loss of 10 yards.
