Abbie Chatfield trolled for open relationship with boyfriend Konrad Bień-Stephen

Abbie Chatfield has lashed out at critics of her open relationship with her boyfriend-of-three-months Konrad Bień-Stephen.

The Bachelor star, 26, announced on her It’s a Lot podcast this week that she Konrad, 31, were officially non-exclusive, but remain committed to each other.

Unfortunately, her candid admission was met with a barrage of criticism, prompting Abbie to fire up at her critics in a foul-mouthed rant on Tuesday afternoon.

Appearing in an Instagram Story video, the influencer strenuously defended her non-traditional relationship, insisting that there’s nothing wrong with having multiple sexual partners.

‘Some of you f**kers are so embarrassingly triggered because you’re so insecure. You’re like, ‘But if you love someone, you only want to f**k them!’. Not me, and not [Konrad],’ she ranted.

‘If that’s how you feel, it’s so fine. Be monogamous! [But] why do you care if i f**k someone else or he f**ks someone else?’ she continued.

Abbie also revealed that she and Konrad’s relationship has been ‘open the whole time’.

‘Why are you all assuming that I’m forcing him, after we said multiple times, ‘We agree with this’. We were talking about this before we even had sex. We were talking about it like when we hadn’t even kissed yet!’ she said.

‘Like, babes. I’m not forcing him to do anything. In fact he’s the one that’s f**king someone else and I’m to, because I’m too busy. But like, it’s fine. We also didn’t only become open today.’

Abbie claimed that open relationships are more common than people realise, and that polyamorous people often hide in the shadows due to social ‘stigma’.

‘I can pretty much guarantee that if you live in a populated area and you have a lot of friends from a lot of different walks of life, one of them is probably in an open relationship,’ she said.

‘But they’re not telling you either because they’re ashamed because of the stigma, or because you specifically are so closed minded they know you will give them s**t and question the value of their relationship,’ she added.

'Get a grip!' She proceeded to insist that Konrad is 'happy' and that they love each other despite what others may believe

‘Just because you want everyone to want monogamy as much as you do, doesn’t mean that someone not wanting monogamy is a bad thing,’ she added.

‘Why does it affect you which genitals touch each other? Get a grip!’

Abbie made headlines on Tuesday after she revealed that she and Konrad were in an open relationship.

During her podcast, Abbie revealed that she hadn’t yet taken advantage of her newfound sexual freedom.

However, Konrad did sleep with another woman recently, then came home and told his girlfriend about it.

‘Everyone, mummy and daddy aren’t breaking up. We’re just having a different structure to our relationship,’ she explained.

‘We’re open. We’re in an open relationship, which we love,’ she added.

Konrad, who joined his girlfriend on her podcast, said he’d never been in an open relationship before but was keen to learn the ropes.

‘Someone we met on the weekend gave us some good tips, [which included] see a sex therapist, talk about your boundaries, it’s not like you go and sleep with anyone,’ he said.

‘There are rules [but] you can still cheat on each other,’ Abbie added.

‘I feel like there’s so much more to a relationship than just sex,’ Konrad replied.

Abbie said she isn’t jealous by nature so doesn’t have a problem with Konrad sleeping around, but would be upset if he lied about it or didn’t wear protection.

‘I don’t care about someone’s genitals going near someone else’s genitals,’ she explained. ‘I care about the lying. I care about getting an STI.’

She went on to say that hearing about her boyfriend’s sexual escapades, and telling him about her own, is actually one of her ‘kinks’.

Konrad, who appeared in Brooke Blurton’s season of The Bachelorette, then revealed that when he did sleep with someone else, he called Abbie the next day and she told him: ‘Yeah hot, tell me all about it.’

The pair have been dating for about three months, with Abbie confirming their romance back in November.

Abbie recently addressed rumours the pair had split, confirming on Instagram she and Konrad were still very much together.

‘For everyone who is concerned that I haven’t posted with Konrad for seven or eight days – don’t worry, we haven’t broken up, we’re just simply long distance,’ she said.

‘Don’t panic. We’re still together. Also we don’t have to post every day together, it’s fine. We’re still together.’

She also hit back at critics who questioned her friendships with other men, defiantly responding: ‘I’m also allowed to have male friends.

‘I am queer, so if I wasn’t allowed to have friends that were the gender that I am going to f**k, I was have to sit in my room and just think about him all day every day.

‘So don’t stress, he’s coming on the radio show tonight. You can hear us talk then. Good plug!’
