Actor Dan Wyllie’s wife has handed police photos of the injuries the Love My Way star allegedly inflicted upon her plus a detailed statement, court documents say.

The ‘Mr Everywhere’ of Australian film and television has been charged with two alleged domestic violence offences against his wife of six years Shannon Murphy.

Police charge sheets accuse the popular Logie winner, 50, of attacking Ms Murphy at their home in Woollahra between 5pm and 11.59pm on March 21 this year.

Investigators describe the incident as ‘serious’ in police documents filed in a Sydney court.

‘The offences for which the accused has been charged are serious domestic violence offences which have resulted in injuries to the victim,’ police court documents said.

‘Police have obtained a detailed statement from the victim and have supporting photographs of the alleged injuries.’

The court documents said Wyllie was granted bail on conditions including he not breach he not breach a provisional apprehended violence ordering him not to assault, threaten, stalk or harass his wife, or destroy or damage any of her property. 

Wyllie will appear in front of Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday.

Wyllie and Murphy married in Thailand in 2014 after six years of dating. Their private wedding ceremony was attended by the likes of Toni Collette.

Wyllie referred to Murphy as his ‘best friend’ in a rare personal interview in 2012, two years before they married.

Murphy is an accomplished Australian film director, who has worked for the Sydney Theatre Company. 

She is also a shareholder in production company The Dollhouse Pictures, which counts Australian actress Rose Byrne and film director Gracie Otto as shareholders.

She gave birth to the couple’s daughter in 2015. 

Wyllie is ubiquitous in Australian drama, with credits including Russell Crowe’s The Water Diviner and TV shows including Puberty Blues, Underbelly, Love My Way and Rake. 

He won a Silver Logie in 2004 for his role in Foxtel’s Love My Way.

Daily Mail Australia contacted Dan Wyllie’s management for comment, but received no response.
