Actor Laurence Fox has slammed stars who wore ‘revealing’ black dresses to support the Time’s Up campaign at the Golden Globes earlier this year – and called Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘ultra-woke hypocrites’ for preaching about climate change while using private jets.

Laurence, 41, admits in a Sunday Times interview that his new album, A Grief Observed, that he wanted to call one of the songs MeToo, but was banned by his record label.

The song, which is on his third album, now called Dead in the Eye, was inspired, by actresses at the Golden Globes: ‘These people are very aware of the erotic nature of their costume yet totally unaware of the hypocrisy of the message.’

He goes on to call his fellow thespians and even Harry and Meghan hypocrites too, for supporting Extinction Rebellion, but leaving a carbon footprint with private jets.

Talking about the hypocrites who he says are living ‘high-carbon’ lives, he said: ‘You’re just like “F**k off! Why is no one saying to them, “Don’t say it”? Or look at Prince Harry and Meghan: their ultra-woke, but when they’re on their little private jet they don’t think it’s that bad. I can not deal with the hypocrisy.’

His album, the actor says, is pretty controversial, in which he says ‘fairly hardcore things’ and he said he’s surprised that his record label allowed it to be released. 

The interview, also touches on Trump, where he claims to not be a ‘Trump hater’ and even admits, for a ‘social experiment’ he walked around South London in a Make America Great again hat.

He admits that the ‘social experiment’ didn’t go well with people verbally and physically telling him how ‘disgusting’ he was.

The Lewis actor also talks about his divorce to actress Billie Piper. The actors were married for eight years and have two children together Winston James and Eugene Pip.

They couple divorced in March 2016 and Laurence is the past told the Sunday Times: ‘It was quite a drastic life change. Goodbye, money! Goodbye, wife! Argh!’

However today he claims to be over it and put the negative time to good use: ‘Now I just go, “Thanks for the inspiration for the album.”‘

Billie and Laurence were involved in a lengthy custody battle over their two sons Winston, 11 and Eugene, seven, which finally ended last year.

Laurence recently admitted it’s taken ‘a couple of years’ to get over his split from wife Billie Piper.

The actor told Lorraine Kelly on Tuesday that he’s finally ‘on the other side’ following his difficult split from the actress in 2016. 

When asked how he was doing now the dust had settled on his divorce, the Victoria star said: ‘I’ve been out the other side I think it takes a couple of years and then you’re like ”hello! what’s your name?”
