Actress Bec Hewitt wants to ‘push herself’ with a ‘bad girl’ TV comeback on Australian screens – and isn’t ruling out a return to Home And Away

It’s been more than 15 years since Bec Hewitt graced TV screens as Hayley Smith on Channel Seven’s soap Home And Away.

And as she returns to the network for Dancing With The Stars: All Stars, Bec has revealed if she would also consider a reappearance in Summer Bay.

Speaking to TV Week, Bec said to ‘never say never’ about seeing her face on the popular show again, but that she’s like to have a ‘darker’ role.

When Bec left the long running soap in 2005, her character continued on, being played by red-headed actress Ella Scott Lynch.

The bombshell said she ‘owed so much to the show’, but would like to reinvent herself on screen if given the chance to kickstart her acting career once more.

‘I think being a bit of a bad girl would be kind of cool, to really push myself,’ she said, adding: ‘It would just be fun and something a little bit unexpected for people to see a different side of me.’
