Actress Phoebe Tonkin exudes class in a classic Chanel dress at Oscars event

Phoebe Tonkin was turning heads on Saturday night. 

The Australian actress exuded class and elegance in a classic Chanel dress as she attended the Chanel and Charles Finch Pre-Oscar Awards Dinner in Beverly Hills. 

The 33-year-old showed off her slender figure in the black wool number with silver threading and metallic buttons. 

She paired the frock with dark tights, her trim pins on display, and added a pair of glittering black heels, also from Chanel. 

For makeup, the Babylon actress went for a clean, rosy look punctuated with a bold red lip in a matte finish.

She went light on the accessories, wearing a matching Camélia ring and earrings from Chanel, while pulling her brunette hair off her face in a slick do. 

Phoebe first made a name for herself in Australia appearing in H2O: Just Add Water before moving overseas to pursue an international career in 2011.

She has since appeared in a number of big-name TV shows, including The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Westworld and Bloom.

The actress was recently back in Australia filming the Stan film Transfusion alongside Avatar star Sam Worthington.

In the feature film, Sam stars as Ryan Logan, a former special forces operative, who is battling to cope with life after the loss of his wife.

Phoebe portrays his wife Justine, who tragically dies, leaving her bereft husband and son behind.  

Life takes another cruel twist when Ryan is then thrust into the criminal underworld to keep his only son from being taken from him.
