A mother claims a young child sexually abused her five-year-old son after luring him behind a shed.

The mother claims her son told her another boy wanted to play a game at the Adelaide kindergarten, before performing a sex act on him, 7 News reported.

‘He told me that the boy had made him pull down his pants because he wanted to play a game,’ the boy’s mother said.

‘I was in complete shock and disbelief thinking “is this really true?”‘

The young boy also claimed the other boy hit and bit him.

The mother reported the incident to staff who allegedly told her son that he needed to make better friendships.

While no charges were laid because the five-year-old is too young, it was reported there were other claims of the same boy assaulting other children at the kindergarten.

Two more boys were allegedly attacked last week prompting the kindergarten to send a letter to parents asking them if their children had been exposed to inappropriate behaviour.

The concerned mother pulled her five-year-old son out of the kindergarten but told 7 News she was cautious of what her son had been introduced to because she also has a daughter.

The education department reportedly provided a refresher course teaching child care workers how to recognise sexual behaviour in young children.
