An Adelaide man no longer has vision in his left eye after he was blinded by thugs in a vicious road rage attack.

The student, 25, who wishes to remain anonymous, is still in hospital recovering following Saturday night’s violent attack in Albert Park in Adelaide’s west.

He was driving home at 11pm when he was involved in an accident with another vehicle in Glyde Street near the intersection of Herbert Street.

The situation turned nasty when he got out of his car to exchange details with the other motorist and was confronted by two men from the other vehicle.

The traumatised victim said the men swore at him before he was blinded by what he described as one ‘nasty punch.’

‘Right now if you could see me, it has a major impact on my future,’ he told 9 News from his hospital bed.

‘They said I lost my vision and that I couldn’t see the world with my left eye forever.’

The victim’s friend travelling in the car with him called emergency services while nearby residents rushed to the victim’s aid.
