Adelaide woman abuses Woolworths workers and other shoppers in foul-mouth tirade captured on video

An angry woman has been filmed shouting and swearing at other customers and workers at a Woolworths supermarket.

A young Asian couple filmed the incident, saying they began recording after the woman followed them and swore at them at Woolworths Rundle Mall in the Adelaide CBD on June 16.

But the woman claimed the couple had followed her up the escalator, and became more agitated since they started filming her.

Eventually, Woolworths employees intervened but instead of kicking the swearing woman out, they advised the couple to leave since ‘you’re not allowed to film’.

A woman later posted a video of the foul-mouthed tirade to TikTok.

‘Woolworths please explain why your staff kicked out an Asian family who were being verbally abused in your store instead of the verbal abuser?’ she captioned the post.

‘People need to be held accountable for such atrocious behaviour.’

The video begins with a middle-aged woman dressed in black swearing at another shopper who tried to intervene in the argument while Woolworths workers look on.

‘Don’t f***ing touch me! Don’t f***ing get involved in s**t that’s none of your business. Go and get a doctor,’ she told the man.

She then turned her attention to the Asian couple, saying: ‘You don’t ever f***ing people without their permission, do you f***ing understand?’

The woman then walks towards the man filming the video, who backs up while continuing to record her.

‘F**k off! Stop your filming, a***hole!’ she said as she walked towards the filmer.

‘You need to stop, you need to stop!’ the filming man replied.

The woman then tells Woolworths workers to ‘get them out’ of the store.

At this point, a female Woolworths worker intervened, telling the filming man: ‘This is a private property, you cannot film in here.’

‘You need to get out sir, sorry. You’re not allowed to film,’ a male employee agreed.

‘She’s being aggressive, I have to film to protect (myself). She has been following us and swearing at us,’ the man filming the video explained.

‘No, you followed me up the escalator!’ the woman replied.

The young couple then made their way to the self-service checkouts while a male shopper came over to comfort them.

‘I’m with you man. This is bulls**t. This is not fair what you’re receiving, I’m with you alright. You know what? You guys don’t need to be around this sh*t,’ he said.

The couple paid for their shopping at the self-service checkout, explaining to another shopper they were ‘shocked’ by the woman’s behaviour.

At this point, the woman can still be heard shouting in the background, this timing directing her anger at Woolworths workers.

A supermarket employee then tells the couple: ‘Guys, just leave the store, please.’

SA Police attended the scene shortly after. Daily Mail Australia has contacted SA Police for comment.

A Woolworths spokesman said staff told the couple who were filming to leave since it was agitating the woman, making the situation worse.

‘Our store team did their best to defuse the dispute in difficult circumstances and subsequently called police to the scene,’ he said.

‘If the customer wishes to make a complaint about the conduct of the other customer to police, we will assist with their inquiries.’

Woolworths did not receive any complaints from either customer since the incident and no shoppers or team members were injured.
