Family plans: Adele has revealed her dream is to be a ‘homemaker,’ as she plans marriage and kids with boyfriend Rich Paul after finally bringing her Las Vegas shows to the stage this winter

The superstar and the multi-millionaire agent first met at a party a few years ago, and took their relationship public in the summer of 2021.

The musician was previously wed to charity entrepreneur Simon Konecki, the father of her nine-year-old son Angelo, marrying in 2018 and separating the same year.

‘I’ve never been in love like this,’ Adele gushed to ELLE of Rich. ‘I’m obsessed with him. I definitely want more kids.

‘I’m a homemaker and I’m a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music,’ she added. ‘But right now, all I got in my brain is Vegas. I wanna f**king nail it.’

The star remained coy about rumours she and Rich are currently engaged though, telling ELLE that she ‘absolutely’ wants to get married again.

She coyly added: ‘Well! Well. Well, I’m not married’ when asked if the ring she’s been wearing recently is an engagement diamond.

‘I’m just in loooove! I’m happy as I’ll ever be. I might as well be married,’ later confessing of her huge ring: ‘I’m not engaged. I just love high-end jewellery, boy!’

Adele was also keen to discuss what she called ‘the worst moment in my career’ after she cancelled her Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

The superstar had been set to open her Weekends with Adele show back in January but cancelled in an emotional video message to her fans at the last minute.

After rescheduled dates for the gig were leaked, the singer took to Instagram on last month to finally confirm the show will start in November as she thanked fans for their ‘patience’.

‘It was the worst moment in my career, by far,’ she told Elle of her decision to cancel. ‘By far. I was so excited about those shows. It was devastating.’

She explained with just hours to go before her debut date, that she just wasn’t satisfied with the show.

‘There was just no soul in it. The stage setup wasn’t right. It was very disconnected from me and my band, and it lacked intimacy. And maybe I tried too hard to give it those things in such a controlled environment.’

Of the backlash she faced from fans, many of whom had splurged thousands on flights and accommodation to see the star, Adele admitted ‘the first couple of months were really, really hard. I was embarrassed.’

‘But it actually made my self-confidence in myself grow, because it was a very brave thing to do. And I don’t think many people would have done what I did. I’m very proud of myself for standing by my artistic needs.’

She called her revamped plans for the 32 concert dates, which run from November 18, 2022 to March 25, 2023. ‘nostalgic’ teasing that the shows will tell the story of her career.

‘It’s gonna be really beautiful,’ she mused, adding that they will be plenty of her trademark interaction with the audience, quipping: ‘I haven’t got any bullet points, obviously, when I talk. That’s why my shows are so erratic. One time I gave, like, an hour speech about an aquarium!’

‘I think I’m right to do it right now,’ she said of the residency. ‘I know I’m not, like, 60 years old and I haven’t got 20 albums under my belt. But I think my music will work in a show in Vegas.’

Ahead of Vegas, Adele wowed fans with two dates in her hometown of London back in June, her first concerts in five years.

‘They were two of the best crowds I’ve ever stood in front of, ever, in my whole career.’ the star said of the Hyde Park concerts.

‘That’s the first thing I said to Rich when I got in the car after the second show,’ she says. ‘I was like, ‘Well, f**k, now I’ve got itchy feet. I’ve got itchy feet, Rich!’

When she sang ‘Someone Like You’ on the first night in London, she let the audience take over on one of the final choruses, and got choked up listening to them sing. ‘I wrote that on my own, in my little tiny flat, when I was 21,’ the emotional star explained.

‘The fact that they all still remember the words and love the song, it was just incredible.’

‘Fifteen years is a long time. But one thing I feel so lucky about, even with how big my life is now, is that I really lived a normal life. You know?’
