A Connecticut woman posted a video of her young daughter singing and cradling their new adopted puppy.

The video Lauren Malone posted of her daughter Katie has had over 4.5 million views and over 110,000 shares on Facebook. 

She captioned the heartwarming viral video: ‘And this is why you should adopt a rescue dog. Or two. Or three or four.’

‘We adopted Oakley this week from our favorite rescue Americanlabrescue.com.’ 

Lauren, who is a devoted animal lover, has raised $1,412 for American Lab Rescue Inc., an all-breed rescue group specializing in Labrador and Labrador mixes.

Katie quietly and adorably sang her own version of Brahms’ Lullaby while she cradled and hugged the dog who was curled up in her lap.

In the video Lauren said to Katie: ‘He likes it, keep singing,’ once she heard the dog sigh in relaxation.
