AFL star Adam Cerra marries fiancée Claudia Piva in small ceremony at Victorian Marriage Registry

Adam Cerra and fiancée Claudia Piva eloped at the Victorian Marriage Registry on Saturday, just three months after they got engaged.

The Carlton star, 25, got down on one knee in November to propose to his love, and it seems the happy couple were very eager to tie the knot. 

Sharing their vows in front of a small group of friends and family over the weekend, the pair married at the Old Treasury Building in East Melbourne. 

The AFL player donned a classic black bowtie suit by Menzclub for the momentous occasion, clinging to Claudia’s hand as the newlyweds left the venue.

Claudia looked every inch the blushing bride in a short white dress which featured a conservative neckline and sleeveless feature.

It was a very similar frock to the one she wore during her Hens party in January.

Slicking her blonde tresses back into a tight bun, Claudia opted for a natural makeup look as she paired her wedding dress with a pair of white slingback heels. 

Fixing a long veil into her bun, the blonde beauty carried a small bouquet of white flowers in hand during her ceremony.

The happy couple were all smiles as they left the registry hand-in-hand to greet their loved ones. 

Their small group then travelled to Brunswick East where they hosted the reception at Italian restaurant Bar Romantica.

Adam was supported by his Carlton teammates Charlie Curnow, George Hewett and Jacob Weitering, who made an appearance at the reception.

His ex Fremantle teammate Caleb Serong also arrived at the restaurant to congratulate the couple of the hour. 

Claudia and Adam could be seen pulling off their veil and jacket to dance the night away at their reception.

The pair got engaged in November last year.

Sharing an image of the happy moment to Instagram at the time, Claudia flashed her huge diamond engagement ring while wrapping her arm around Adam.

She captioned the photo with, ‘Fiancés,’ and a white love heart as she wore a long black gown for the occasion. 

Adam’s footy friends flocked to the comments to share their congratulations. 

Carlton player Jack Silvagni wrote: ‘BAAAANG! Congrats guys xx.’

Teammate Patrick Cripps said: ‘How good. Congrats team.’

‘Congrats guys!’ added Sam Docherty, as Jacob Weitering echoed: ‘Congrats guys.’

Carlton AFLW star Yasmin Duursma commented: ‘Congrats Clauds!’
