AFLW star Sabrina Frederick shares a friendly hug with Collingwood teammate Aliesha Newman

She’s the English-born Australian rules footballer who plays for Collingwood in the AFLW.

And Sabrina Frederick shared a warm hug with teammate Aliesha Newman, before the team’s 39-7 hammering at the hands of the Freemantle Dockers on Thursday.

Frederick, 25, recently revealed she’s expecting her first child with wife Lili Cadee- Matthews. 

The Magpies forward was dressed in her club’s signature black and white kit as she stepped onto the field pre-match.

She shielded her gaze behind a pair of dark shades and listened to music through a pair of earbuds.

The mother-to-be warmly embraced her teammate as the pair prepared for their later game.

Back in November, Sabrina and Lili held a combined engagement, hens party and baby announcement.

Pregnant Lili was already showing as she posed for a series of glamorous photos with her doting wife. 

Photos taken outside showed Sabrina and school teacher Lili holding hands as they walked through what appeared to have been a park. 

Standing under a rotunda, Sabrina leaned in close to Lili, resting her forehead against the side of her head.

Another photo showed Sabrina leaning forward to plant a sweet kiss on Lili’s belly.  

Sabrina publicly announced the couple is expecting their first child in a post on Instagram earlier this month.

‘I am so excited to announce Lil and I will be welcoming our first little bundle of joy to our family late July (or when she is ready),’ she wrote.

The SAS Australia star then added: ‘The Frederick family is growing and we couldn’t be more grateful. Can’t wait to hold our tiny dancer in our arms.’
