A teenager has died after crashing his e-bike at high speed into a wooden fence.
It’s understood the 13-year-old boy was on his way to the shops when he slammed into a wooden barrier at about 6.40pm on Friday.
The impact knocked him unconscious and he went into cardiac arrest.
Police and paramedics arrived within minutes to Di Gorman Oval in Albion Park, in NSW’s Illawarra region, and tried to revive the teenager using CPR.

The 13-year-old sustained chest and possible neck injuries in the crash, the Illawarra Mercury reported.
NSW Ambulance’s Illawarra chief inspector Terry Morrow said it was an ‘all-out effort’ to try to save his life.
‘He was taken to Wollongong Hospital with full resuscitation all the way from Albion Park and unfortunately he had injuries non-compatible with life,’ he said.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death is underway.
