Budget supermarket retailer Aldi is set to open a new store in Sydney – complete with state-of-the-art features and unique Special Buys products.

The Lane Cove store on the Lower North Shore of Sydney will officially open its doors at 8am on Wednesday, June 10, offering shoppers a ‘new and improved’ supermarket experience.

The supermarket will offer a range of Special Buys items at the grand opening that shoppers won’t find anywhere else in Australia, including a $199 dishwasher, $169 thermo cooker, $79 high pressure washer, and an $89 children’s bicycle.

Customers will be treated to a new format store, including better product displays, improved navigation and a modern interior design.

Features include redesigned shelving, expanded wooden produce bays, as well as extended energy efficient chillers.

The store also has energy efficient LED lighting, improved point-of-sale displays and store signage.

‘We’re excited to be opening our new store in Lane Cove and look forward to showing local residents the difference ALDI can make to their wallets and lifestyles,’ Alex Foster, managing director of New South Wales, ALDI Australia, said. 

‘While we’re delighted to be introducing these innovations, we want our customers to know they won’t lead to higher prices.

‘Low prices are a big deal for ALDI. In fact, we refuse to be beaten on price. This is our fundamental point of difference and one we will never give away.’
