An urgent recall has been issued for a popular meat product due to fears it could cause a severe allergic reaction. 

Aldi’s Berg Deli Prosciutto Sliced 100g, with the best before date of June 18, 2020 was sold in New South Wales, Victoria and ACT. 

Thet product was recalled due to an incorrect back label, failing to show it contained a milk allergen.

Consumers with a milk allergy or milk intolerance are urged not to eat the product. 

Other best before dates of the Berg Deli Prosciutto Sliced 100g are not affected. 

Customers who purchased the product are asked to return the item to their nearest Aldi store for a full refund. 

The supermarket took to their Facebook page saying they take their ‘product quality and safety seriously’ and have apologised for the inconvenience.
