Alec Baldin claims the first lady is a fan

Alec Baldwin said on Thursday that Melania Trump watches Saturday Night Love and loves his Trump impression  – despite the first lady denying the claim just last month.

In an interview on Megyn Kelly, Baldwin was asked if he’s received any backlash for his impression of the president.

‘Well I said this before. and I will not throw under the bus who told me this. I won’t say who said this. Somebody in the know said to me that Melania loves my Trump and she watches Saturday Night Live and said she watches the show –

‘I wouldn’t be surprised she has a good sense of humor,’ Kelly responded.

This is the second time that Baldwin has made the claim that the first lady loves his Trump impression. The first lady's office denied the claim last month

‘She thinks it’s very funny,’ Baldwin said. ‘It made it worthwhile right there.’

This isn’t the first time that Baldwin has made this claim.

The actor told the same story in an interview on WNYC’s The Brian Lehrer Show last month.

After that appearance, Newsweek reporters reached out to the White House for comment and got a stern response.

‘That is not true, which is why Mr. Baldwin has no actual names to go with his bizarre assertion,’ the first lady’s spokesman, Stephanie Grisham, said at the time.

DailyMail.com reached out to the first lady’s office for comment on Baldwin’s latest interview. We are waiting on a response.

Baldwin attended the interview with his wife Hilaria and the youngest of their three children, one-year-old Leo.

Hilaria sat in the front of the audience, holding Leo on her lap while he cried for his father.

At one point, she brought him up to sit on dad’s lap but he soon grew antsy and scrambled away.

At times, the interview turned serious, with Baldwin weighing in on the sexual harassment scandals plaguing Hollywood.

Baldwin appeared to be critical of Last Week Tonight host John Oliver, who grilled Dustin Hoffman about decades-old sexual harassment complaints at a panel before a 20th anniversary screening of his film Wag the Dog.

‘I just don’t want to see people who are innocent get into trouble. Like Weinstein for example, is in rehab hiding behind millions of dollars worth of lawyers, and I want to see the people who really did something get convicted. I wanted the people who are wrong to be punished but I don’t want to see innocent people get hurt either,’ he said.
