Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez takes center stage and is joined by new Dan Crenshaw on Capitol steps

Members of the new House freshman class that are about to shake up Washington posed for a group photo on the Capitol steps in an official debut for giant-killer Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and newly famous Dan Crenshaw.

The incoming Democrat and Republican were among the most conspicuous new lawmakers as powerful pressure seek to push their agenda and party leaders stand for election. 

They are among more than 80 new members who will be sworn in in January, the largest class in more than two decades. 

Ocasio-Cortez, who wore a bright red dress, who could be seen shivering on a 41-degree day even as party leaders tried to provide a warm welcome for freshman orientation.

On Tuesday, she showed up at an office of Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to join a global warming protest. 

The 29-year old from New York later donned a coat, and tried to keep warm walking with her arm around Rep.-elect Debbie Mucarsel-Powell of Florida for the picture.

Also joining his colleagues is new Republican Dan Crenshaw, a former Navy Seal who went on ‘Saturday Night Live’ to graciously accept an apology from Pete Davidson, who called him a ‘war hero’ following a sketch where he made fun of the wounded warrior’s eye patch.

Ocasio-Cortez continued to use her twitter account to fire shots at rivals.  

They are part of the class that includes 87 members with more races still to be decided. 

In one barb, Ocasio-Cortez tweeted a screen shot of a Fox News graphic showing her and other female lawmakers with their ‘Radical New Democratic Ideas.’

It listed them as ‘free college for all,’ ‘free healthcare for all,’ ‘Abolish ICE’ and a ‘green new deal.’

The new lawmaker, who beat powerful Democratic Rep. Joe Crowley of New York in a primary, added: ‘Oh no! They discovered our vast conspiracy to take care of children and save the planet.’  

The others were Reps.-elect Ilhan Omar (Minn.), who was pictured wearing her head-scarf, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan.
