Alison Hammond, 48, flirts up a storm with Nick Ferrari, 64, as they vow to go on cruise together

Alison Hammond flirted up a storm with LBC presenter Nick Ferrari during his appearance on Tuesday’s This Morning.

The TV host, 48, recently confirmed she was single during Monday’s episode of the show – fuelling further speculation she had split from partner Ben Hawkins.

And it appears she’s already got her sights set on a certain somebody as she vowed to go on a luxury cruise with the broadcast journalist, 64, which had been promoted on the show.

While discussing a recent survey with Holly Willoughby, 42, which claims men of feet size seven are better lovers, she quipped, ‘I do like a short man!’

Taking off his shoe, he quipped to Alison, ‘I’m a size twelve but, for what that leaves elsewhere, we’ll only find out when we get on this boat! We’ll have a good time, I assure you.’

Later on in the chat, the former Big Brother housemate reminded him, ‘Book that cruise, Nick.’

Just the previous day, she appeared to once again confirm she was single.

The host, who is sitting in for Phillip Schofield this week on This Morning, showed off her ‘single ring’ during a discussion about dating apps.

Joined by Holly, Alison revealed she was wearing the green jewellery as way of declaring her single status.

As she flashes the Pear Ring she said: ‘More people are wanting to meet people out and about and having a green ring might be a good idea so that people know you’re single.

‘As you can see, I’ve got my single ring on.’

Before Holly interjected:  ‘Hopefully you won’t need it for a lifetime.’

The Pear Ring works the opposite of an engagement ring, with users donning it to show strangers they are available.

The official green ring costs £19.99 and aims to help people find love in person rather than on dating apps.

Earlier this month Alison shocked This Morning viewers by declaring she was single just weeks after it was reported she and her beau were ‘engaged’.

She slipped up on her relationship status when she exclaimed: ‘ well I am single!’ while discussing the new Love Island spin-off show with co-host Dermot O’Leary.

As Dermot read the casting call for new show The Romance Retreat – to be hosted by Davina McCall – he hinted to his co-star about signing up, telling her they were looking for ‘vibrant single parents’.

To which she replied: ‘Hey, I’m single!.

Alison broke her silence on Sunday after it was revealed over the weekend that a man had been arrested on suspicion of blackmail.

Taking to Instagram, the presenter shared a beaming selfie from her ‘girls night’ with pals Holly, Nicole Appleton and Emma Bunton, writing the caption: ‘Needed that.’

West Midlands Police told MailOnline that a man had been bailed following his arrest on suspicion of blackmail.

Alison allegedly told pals she handed over thousands of pounds and a car to a former friend who threatened to leak false details about her private life.

The force confirmed it had arrested a 36-year-old man from Warwickshire on suspicion of blackmail against a woman in her 40s.

The man was questioned by police and on Sunday was released on conditional bail, it added.

West Midlands Police said on Sunday they ‘take reports of this kind very seriously’ and enquiries were ‘progressing swiftly’.

According to The Sun, the former Big Brother contestant also handed over a BMW worth £5,000.

It’s claimed the presenter reported the incident to police last week, with a colleague telling the publication Hammond revealed she had ‘reached the end’.

She allegedly showed officers from the force messages she had received from the man on Tuesday.

The new Great British Bake Off host is said to have fought back tears and claimed that she had ‘trusted’ the man when speaking to a friend.

‘I thought he valued our friendship. I now know he only wanted me to fund his life of luxury’, The Sun reported.

It is claimed the man took advantage of Alison’s kind nature and they forged an unlikely friendship despite his issues with drugs.

Alison reportedly told her friend that he sprung the demands on her out of the blue after she had been happy to try and help him and spend money on him.

It is claimed she attempted to cut ties with him a number of times but he managed to make his way back into her life.

Things reached boiling point for Alison when she is said to have told a colleague last week: ‘He sent me a message stating that if I didn’t give him £3,500 he would ruin me.

‘I was flabbergasted. I’m still in shock. To have a friend seeking to blackmail and extort me is just heartbreaking. I had to realise I’d reached the end and go to the police.’

However, Alison is said to be ‘genuinely scared’ of any retaliation from the man now she has stopped giving him money and gone to the authorities.

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Alison for comment.

A former holiday rep, she first appeared on British TV screens as a contestant on the third series of Big Brother in 2002, which she later admitted she had only signed up for in a bid to clear a £3,000 debt.

Her bubbly personality and warmth soon landed her a spot on This Morning after ITV bosses saw her potential.

Her career has since gone from strength to strength, recently landing hosting jobs at the BAFTAs and on GBBO.
