It had been a long and successful night and Allison Janney clearly just wanted to be comfortable at last.
The actress, 58, was seen leaving an after-party following the BAFTAs in London barefoot in her gorgeous gown.
The former star of The West Wing had ditched her stiletto heels after celebrating taking home the BAFTAs for best supporting actress for her performance in the film I, Tonya.
A little relief: Allison Janney ditched her heels as she left a BAFTA after-party in London barefoot on Sunday night
Janney didn’t seem to mind the feel of the cold stone under her feet as she made her way from the upscale Grosvenor House across the sidewalk and street to her waiting limousine.
The star’s decision to ditch her footwear revealed that she had colored her toe nails with polish to match her black dress.
The full-length number had mostly covered her shoes as she walked the red carpet at the British awards show earlier in the evening although the slit in the back of her designer number did give a glimpse of how high her heels were.
The sandals were so high her feet were held in a very arched position no doubt causing a degree of pain after several hours of standing.
Oh those arches: The actress, 58, had earlier walked the red carpet in a gorgeous gown with a slit at the back that revealed her choice of footwear to be towering stiletto heeled sandals
Lot of walking: She’d been on her feet all night and needed the help of actor Bryan Cranston as she climbed to the stage to receive the BAFTA for best supporting actress for the film I, Tonya
Winner: The former West Wing star looked gorgeous in her full-length black dress with ivory satin sleeves and collar and a stunning pair of earrings
Janney made a funny face as she emphasized to fans waiting for a glimpse of the stars that she didn’t have any shoes on.
It’s turning out to be quite the year for the star who has already won a Golden Globe too for her role as Tonya Harding’s mother LaVona Golden in the movie that stars Margot Robbie as the disgraced ice skater.
She is nominated for an Academy Award in the best supporting actress category and next up will be the Oscars on March 4 in Hollywood.

Janney used her acceptance speech at the BAFTAs to own up to the fact that she did not, as she may have given the impression over the years, graduate from the Royal Academy of the Dramatic Arts in London.
But she did complete a two-week summer program there that had imbued in her a love for the theatre.
Speaking backstage, she acknowledged that her fellow nominees were also aged 45 or over and that this indicated that the tide is turning with more roles being created for older actresses in Hollywood.
Role of a lifetime: Janney has now won a BAFTA and a Golden Globe for her performance as Tony Harding’s mother LaVona Golden. She is nominated for an Academy Award in the best supporting actress category and next up will be the Oscars on March 4 in Hollywood
