Today show host Ally Langdon is rushed to hospital after injuring herself ‘badly’ while filming the breakfast program in Queensland – as footage emerges of he dramatic sea rescue

Today show host Ally Langdon has been hospitalised after injuring herself ‘badly’ while filming the breakfast program in Queensland on Thursday.

Karl Stefanovic confirmed that his co-host was in hospital on Friday, when Ally was noticeably missing from the panel.

He explained that the mother-of-two had an accident while filming a segment in the water.

‘She hurt herself really badly,’ Stefanovic told Leila McKinnon, who is filling in for Ally.

‘She’s in hospital this morning. She’s OK.’

A Nine spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia on Friday that Ally hurt her leg while filming and will be returning to Sydney over the weekend.

‘Ally hurt her leg after landing awkwardly during filming a story yesterday and was sent to hospital,’ they said. 

They added: ‘She is expected to return home to Sydney over the weekend. We wish her well and a speedy recovery. We thank Leila McKinnon for taking a late night call to join Karl for the Today OB at Burleigh Heads.’
