Alyssa Milano gushes over Shannen Doherty, Rose McGowan and Holly Marie Combs together

Alyssa Milano took to social media on Sunday to gush over a Charmed cast reunion, which she was notably absent from.

The 50-year-old actress, who was an original member of the Charmed cast, shared a photo of Shannen Doherty, Rose McGowan, and Holly Marie Combs at 90s Con.

Despite the rumored feud and drama that has gone on between the women since the start of the show, Milano praised the reunion.

She captioned the post: ‘This makes me happy for the OG Charmed fans. What a gift! #90sconvention.’

The actresses were joined on the Charmed panel by Brian Krause, Dorian Gregory, and Drew Fuller. Milano was the only original cast member missing.

They all attended the 90s Convention that was held in Hartford, Connecticut, on Sunday, March 19.

In the photo, Doherty, 51, McGowan, 49, and Combs, 49, all sat together on a couch with microphones in their hands.

Each woman had a smile on her face as they seemed to be enjoying both the event and each other’s company.

Charmed ran from 1998 to 2006 and followed the three Halliwell sisters — played by Doherty, Combs, and Milano — who discover they are witches.

After the third season, Doherty shocked audiences when she left the series amid a rumored feud with Milano, and her character, Prue Halliwell, was killed off.

Rose McGowan then joined the show amid Doherty’s absence in the fourth season, playing their long-lost half-sister Paige Matthews for four seasons.

Doherty, McGowan, and Combs were never all seen on screen together due to the exit and entrance of one old and one new character.

Milano, however, was a part of the show from start to finish, which is why fans are equally shocked over her absence and the other three women being seen on stage together.

Fans took to the star’s comments section to share their thoughts on the reunion.

One fan said: ‘Mannn charmed ain’t charmed without Phoebe,’ while another said, ‘well where were YOU.’

Another dedicated fan said, ‘I am so happy!! But we are all asking you… why weren’t you there?’

After Doherty’s exit from the show in 2001, she spoke briefly to Entertainment Tonight about her decision.

‘There was too much drama on the set and not enough passion for the work,’ she said.

In October 2022, Milano spoke to Entertainment Tonight about her current relationship with Doherty.

‘I would say we are cordial,’ the Brazen actress shared.

‘You know, I could take responsibility for a lot of our tension that we had. I think a lot of our struggle came from feeling that I was in competition rather than it being that sisterhood that the show was so much about. And I have some guilt about my part in that.’

She added that they reconnected after Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015.

‘I will send her DMs every couple of months to just check in,’ Milano explained.

The Beverly Hills 90210 alum went into remission in 2017, but her cancer returned in 2020.

While Milano and Doherty’s feud has been widely known since her exit from the show, there has also been rumored tension between Milano and McGowan since 2018.

Amid the #MeToo movement, McGowan called Milano ‘a lie’ for her involvement with the Time’s Up organization.

Milano responded to McGowan’s comments in a statement that said, ‘I am and always have been completely supportive of Rose and admire her bravery and speaking out about her experiences.

‘My goal throughout the past few months with both #MeToo and the TimesUp movement has been to use my platform to give others a voice so we can all work together to stamp out sexual harassment and sexual assault.’

Months later, Milano then said that she didn’t see the comments McGowan made against her as hateful.

‘[I don’t] see that as the same thing as hate,’ she told US Weekly at the time.

‘I see that as a beautiful soul that was hurting so badly that she was talking from that hurt. And I understand.’
