Amal Clooney and dad George take time away from the twins

  • George and Amal were spotted spending quality time away from their newborn twins at Lake Cuomo, Italy
  • The pair were a far cry from their usual red carpet glamour as George played in a tennis match on Sunday
  • Couple married in 2014 and Amal gave birth to twins Alexander and Ella in June at a London hospital

Anyone with newborn twins will tell you it’s difficult to keep up appearances.

And it would appear that George Clooney is no different – as these pictures show the Hollywood star looking exhausted during a daytime stroll with his wife Amal.

The couple was spotted wearing tennis gear and holding hands as they went for a walk near their home in Lake Como, Italy.

George Clooney and wife Amal were pictured looking a little off their best as they took a stroll near Lake Cuomo, in Italy, which is perhaps understandable as they adjust to life with newborn twins

While Clooney looked a bit tired – understandable given the newborns – his wife appeared radiant as she showed off her stunning figure in a black tank top and tennis skirt.

It seems the pair are still managing to fit in some quality time without the children – last week they were spotted arriving at Italian restaurant Il Gatto Nero where they enjoyed a two-hour meal and the stunning lake views.

The Clooneys announced the birth of their twins, Ella and Alexander, back in June this year.

Mrs Clooney, 39, is understood to have given birth at a London hospital with her husband by her side.
