Amanda Holden wows in two-piece at London charity launch

Just a night before she opted for dramatic gothic glam at the OK! Beauty Awards.

Yet Amanda Holden proved she is a true style chameleon on Wednesday as she transformed into a superbly festive ensemble to launch a new campaign for npower and MacMillan in which you can write messages to loved ones in the London sky.

The 46-year-old Britain’s Got Talent host looked stunning in a red two-piece comprising of a bandeau dress with a stylish overcoat as she shone a message to her late grandfather in the sky with the use of the interactive light display.

Amanda looked stunning in her red ensemble as she was determined to get in the festive mood for the Christmas-themed event.

She wore her loose blonde locks in sleek waves while her make-up was perfectly styled for the al fresco launch in the capital.

Speaking in an animated fashion and reading off an iPad, it was clear to see how impassioned she was about the cause.

Projected into the sky was a message for her granddad as she penned: ‘Darling Papa. We think and talk about you every day. Love Amanda x’.

Amanda – who also has an interior design range for QVC – spoke to MailOnline earlier this month about her work with the npower’s Light Sky campaign.

‘It’s a gorgeous concept,’ she said. ‘A real lovely thing to do at Christmas. You donate and you will get your message beamed up along the southbank in the sky like grafitti.

‘It doesn’t have to just be for people with cancer, it can even be a message for someone you have lost. I lost my grandfather to Alzheimer’s and I tell my children he’s there watching them when they’re being naughty.

‘I’ll be sending the first message up to my Papa – it’s just a family evening, with love and support – a very different type of Christmas lights switch on.’

On the topic of the festive season, Amanda revealed her plans for this year. ‘We have a second home in the country so the whole family will go there,’ she said.

‘Mum helps me cook – or drink actually, as we go out to eat. I just hate it when it’s over – I love Christmas, I can’t wait to open my advent calendar!’
