Amazing video shows world class professional eater devour a 55-ounce hamburger in two minutes

There’s good reason why Molly Schuyler is ranked the top food warrior in the world of competitive eating.

Schuyler devoured a large stack of eight hamburgers totalling an astounding 55 ounces in under two minutes.

She was competing in the annual 55 Challenge, an event sponsored by the fast food chain Hwy 55, in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Schuyler is the top-ranked competitive eater, according to the website CompetitiveEaters.com.

To get a sense of just how impressive a feat it is, a McDonald’s Big Mac holds two 1.6-ounce beef patties.

That means Schuyler ate the equivalent of slightly more than 17 Big Macs – but with two buns at opposite ends of the pile.

Schuyler, 38, from Sacramento, California, is a mother of four who is an independent competitive eater to make her living.

She weighs 120 pounds and is considered by some to be one of the best competitive eaters in the world.

She goes from contest to contest, eating massive amounts of food faster than anyone else.

Her salary is the prize money, which can range anywhere from $200 to $22,000 per contest.

During her six-year career in competitive eating, the 120-pound mother of four has consumed 119 dumplings in two minutes, 440 wings in 30 minutes, and in just 20 minutes she ate three 72-ounce steaks (along with three baked potatoes, three side salads, three rolls and three shrimp cocktails).

In February, Schuyler gnawed her way through a record 501 chicken wings in 30 minutes to win her third Wing Bowl in Philadelphia

This past October, Molly beat the record for most dumplings eaten in two minutes at the Chef One Dumpling Eating Contest in Brooklyn, when she scarfed down 119 dumplings.

She beat that record just one day after she ate 10.5 Philly Cheesesteaks in 10 minutes at the Philly’s Cheesesteak & Food Fest on September 23 and won that as well.

For these feats – for which she does no preparation – she earned $3,000.

In February, Schuyler gnawed her way through a record 501 chicken wings in 30 minutes to win her third Wing Bowl in Philadelphia.

Wing Bowl is usually Philadelphia’s substitute for the Eagles going to the Super Bowl – though this year it wasn’t even necessary.

The Eagles not only went to the Super Bowl but won the big game, defeating the New England Patriots 41-33 in Minneapolis.

But the February 2 competition was an unusual two-fer.

It was also a rally for the Eagles on the eve of their third Super Bowl appearance.
