Amber Luke, 23, shares her transformation after getting more than $10,000 on her body art

At the tender age of 16, Amber Luke developed an addiction to tattoos.

Fast forward seven years, the now 23-year-old looks unrecognisable after she got more than 50 inkings on her body, including her blue tattooed eyeballs.

The body piercer, from the Central Coast in NSW, has splashed out more than $10,000 transforming her look – even undergoing an extreme body modification where she got her tongue split and earlobes stretched.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the young woman – dubbed ‘Blue Eyes White Dragon’ – said she has ‘no regrets whatsoever’.

‘I’m absolutely in love with my image,’ she said.

  • Tongue split
  • Pointed implants in ears
  • Pierced forehead, chest, lip, cheek, wrist and arm
  • Earlobes stretched
  • More than 50 tattoos, including on her chest, neck, stomach, arms, forehead, fingers, thighs, sternum, bottom and hands

She explained the meaning behind her nickname: ‘I got the name blue eyed white dragon from my friends, they call me that because I resemble a dragon with my eyes and tongue.’

Reflecting back at old pictures of herself, Amber said: ‘I see myself as very plain looking when looking at before and after photos, I absolutely hated the way I used to look. I was boring.’

Amber – who has more than 21,000 followers on Instagram – said she was inspired to get her first tattoo when she was a teenager.

‘As soon as I turned 16, I was inspired by those around me to get tattooed. I craved to know what the feeling was like,’ Amber recalled.

‘I developed an addiction at 16 years of age. By the time I hit 18, I already had three tattoos. And when I turned 18, I decided to get my first big piece.

‘Now, I have over 50 tattoos, I haven’t been able to count all of them.’

She has also risked going permanently blind after getting her eyeballs tattooed with blue ink.

‘The procedure for getting my eyes done was only 40 minutes,’ she said.

‘It was very intense and very painful. My eyes got held open while a syringe was injected into my eye four times per eye. I was blind for three weeks.’

Amber went under the knife to modify her tongue split and get ‘pointy’ ears.

‘My tongue split was very uncomfortable as well, I wasn’t able to speak or eat for a week afterwards,’ she said.

‘My ears were a very simple procedure; a silicone implant was inserted into the tips of my ears to shape them.’

Astonishingly, Amber said she has been met with positive feedback from her friends and family, including her supportive mother.

‘My friends have all been very supportive of my modifications, and my mum has been my biggest supporter since day one,’ she said.

‘My mum cried when she found out that I tattooed my eyeballs, but then she came around.

‘I have plenty of people who try to bring me down because of the choices I’ve made to my body, but that’s just it; its my body.

‘I also have a lot of positivity surrounding my image. People are often fascinated rather discriminatory towards me.’

Amber explained her inspiration stemmed from Australian man Ethan Bramble, 21, who calls himself the ‘world’s most modified youth’, after he got more than 40 body modification procedures.

‘He has his eyes blacked out and I was originally going to black my eyes out as well until my body mod artist convinced me to go blue because it would make my natural eye colour pop,’ she said.

So what’s next on the agenda?

‘I plan on sharpening my two fang teeth into vampire teeth,’ she said.

‘I’m planning on getting tattooed tomorrow actually, getting more on my right leg.

‘I draw the line with body modifications when it comes to implants in the skin. I was going to get horns implanted but changed my mind as I don’t think I would suit it.’

For those who are interested to get body modification, Amber urged: ‘Do your research before committing to anything.

‘You must find an artist that you can trust and bond with,’ she said.

‘Same goes for tattooing, you must do your research before getting anything done, make sure you sit on the decision for a while before acting on it.’
