American Idol: Katy Perry plucks ‘piece of hair’ from Cade Foehner

Katy Perry got a little creepy on Sunday’s episode of American Idol when she plucked out some of Cade Foehner’s hair as a gift for her mother.

Long-haired Cade aka ‘the next Robert Plant’ sang Black Magic Woman after waxing lyrical about his farm and his pet pig.

Katy almost swooned when Cade called her ‘sweetheart’ then begged him for a ‘piece of hair’ for her mother.

‘My mom is a young 70-years-old and she is obsessed with you,’ squealed the 33-year-old pop star.

The Roar singer then rushed the stage to take a lock of of Cade’s wavy tresses.

‘We’re going to get written up for that one,’ sighed Katy’s fellow judge Luke Bryan, a 41-year-old country star.

‘My wife loves you, I’m a little mad about that,’ Luke then told the 21-year-old Texan.

Next was Venezuelan hopeful 22-year-old Michelle Sussett, with Friends by Marshmello & Anne-Marie.

‘You became a pop star,’ said Luke.

‘You owned it right there,’ agreed 68-year-old Lionel.

Marcio Donaldson, a 28-year-old Compton resident and father-of-one, sang It’s A Miracle.

‘That was old school…you’re on fire my friend,’ praised Lionel.

The youngest contestant, 16-year-old New Jersey resident Mara Justine, did This Is Me from The Greatest Showman.

Ada Vox (aka Adam Sanders), a 24-year-old Texan, did Queen’s The Show Must Go On.

‘I’m not just the glitz and the glamour and the make up,’ said the performer, who recalled having brain surgery when he was 8-years-old.
