America’s largest food delivery app Doordash is launching in Sydney today

DoorDash has arrived: The largest food delivery app in America is launching in Sydney TODAY – and it’s giving away 10,000 free burgers

  • DoorDash is the leading on-demand food platform in the United States
  • They are heading Down Under and launching in Sydney on Tuesday morning
  • As a special treat 10,000 Oporto Bondi Burgers will be given away for free
  • The food platform took Melbourne by storm in September when it launched

America’s leading food delivery app is launching in Sydney after a successful introduction into the Melbourne market.

DoorDash, which started in 2013, will be rolled out from November 12 in the city’s CBD and surrounding suburbs, including North Sydney, St Peters, Manly, Moorebank and Campbelltown.

To garner interest for the app they will be giving away free Oporto Bondi Burgers with free delivery to customers from Wednesday through to Sunday, in homage to the iconic Bondi Beach.

‘When exploring expansion outside North America Sydney distinguished itself as a city where we would be thrilled to add value given the incredible dining scene across a vast and diverse landscape,’ DoorDash’s Australian General Manager Thomas Stephens said.

Melbourne opened their doors up to the brand in September, which was largely appreciated, however some restaurants who declined to take part had DoorDash drivers showing up for deliveries anyway.

This caused controversy Down Under the company will be looking to make amends for.
