The TV personality also detailed how she reached out to ITV after her appearance on the reality programme.

Amy added: ‘When I went on Love Island I didn’t realise I’d lived my whole life believing I’m unlikeable, ugly, a failure and not good enough. When I left the villa I got into a dark place.’

Addressing the effect of online trolling on her mental health, the blonde beauty continued: ‘The trolling was kicking off, so I asked the ITV team for help. After working with the show therapist for eight months, I’m much more confident.’

Her comments came ahead of the 2021 series of the show, which is due to kick off later this month in Mallorca.
