Rough week: Amy Schumer revealed she had to miss an important Saturday Night Live rehearsal after her son was rushed to emergency room for Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).

She continued: ‘Shout out to all the parents going though this right now. I got to be with him the whole day at the hospital and the beautiful humans at @nbcsnl couldn’t have been more supportive.’

The I Feel Pretty actress also assured her fans that her three-year-old, Gene, is already ‘home and better’ following his scary hospitalization.

‘The reason this show is so fun to do isn’t actually the performance or the show itself. It’s getting to spend time with the people there,’ Schumer raved of SNL’s cast and crew, who she described as ‘the most talented people with the kindest hearts.’

The Life & Beth star concluded: ‘Thank you everyone there and to the doctors and nurses who helped us.’

Despite a chaotic few days, Schumer didn’t miss a beat on stage as she mocked West over his recent anti-Semitic rhetoric during her opening monologue.

The performer also talked to the crowd about how her husband, Chris Fischer, was on the autism spectrum and how his condition used to be referred to as Asperger’s Syndrome.

Schumer then said: ‘It used to be called Asperger’s, but then they found out that Dr. Asperger had Nazi ties, Kanye…’

The Inside Amy Schumer creator then appeared to riff as if she’d not meant to say that, tapping her microphone to see if anyone could hear her and intoning: ‘That’s weird.’

Schumer appeared to reference West and suspended Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving’s recent spate of anti-Semitic comments in the show’s closing, where she wore a baseball T-shirt that read: ‘<3 Jews.’

The long-time liberal comic referenced the upcoming elections as well, joking that she was hosting the final episode before the ‘midterm abortions’ before interrupting herself, saying: ‘What did I say? Sorry, I was thinking about what’s at stake if we don’t vote.’

She also discussed her life with her husband and son before moving on to starring in various sketches and introducing musical guest Steve Lacy.

The comments were the latest criticism of West, who has been under fire recently for comments he made last month that were deemed to be anti-Semitic.
