Controversial NRL player Andrew Fifita has landed himself in hot water again after lashing out at a sports journalist during a recent podcast recording.
The news of the outburst comes days after Fifita was called out for his behaviour following a post-try blow-up at the coach’s box over the weekend.
The foul-mouthed rant took place during a taping of The Halfcast podcast, in which Fifita was a guest along with teammate Josh Dugan and two UFC fights.

The four men discussed the appropriateness of journalists reporting on football, specifically reporter and commentator Phil Rothfield.
‘I just don’t know how they [football journalists] are all on TV, and they can talk on football,’ Fifita said to his co-presenters sitting on the couch.
‘Excuse my French, but [Rothfield] is a complete f***wit.’
Pedro and Tuivasa then discussed the journalist’s physical appearance, before one of the men was heard saying, ‘f**k off Buzz’.
Dugan then took a swipe at Rothfield over an article he previously wrote about him and Sharks player Paul Gallen.

Rothfield took to social media to say his thoughts about the two men, who he refereed to as ‘ratbags’
Fifita was a major talking point over the weekend after he publicly blew up at the coaching staff during Saturday’s game against North Queensland.
After being benched for 42 minutes, the fired up Sharks player scored a try in the 60th minute before he shouted ‘f**k you’ and pointed towards the coach’s box.
While Fefita initially claimed he was shouting at assistant coach Jim Dymock, it was later revealed he was targeting head coach Shane Flanagan for being benched, Fox Sports reported.
Rothfield also previously reported on an ‘off-field incident’ involving Fifita and Dugan, which resulted in the two men allegedly being asked to leave Cronulla RSL club.
After hearing the podcast on Wednesday, Rothfield took to social media to share his thoughts about the two men, who he referred to as ‘ratbags’.
‘Think it shows mate I treat Cronulla players the same as other clubs – if you want to get thrown out of RSLs, go on a bender in Origin camp, abuse juniors refs or support a 1-punch killer, then expect to be exposed,’ he wrote.
‘Not concerned in the slightest – more concerned for the club’s image with ratbags like that pair.’
