The Hundred host Andy Lee will soon be walking down the aisle with fiancée Rebecca Harding.

And the Aussie comedian, 43, appears to have crossed off at least one date from the calendar as a possible wedding day.

During Wednesday’s special Olympic episode of the comedy show, Andy asked the panel whether holding nuptials on football grand final day was ‘acceptable’ or ‘utterly crazy’.

‘For those thinking of doing that and inviting me, it’s a polite decline,’ Andy said after 55 per cent of the audience voted against grand final day as an appropriate day to tie the knot.

‘I’ve been to weddings where there’s guys huddled around phones and radios to try and hear what’s going on [during a grand final],’ panellist Kate Langbroek revealed during the segment.

However she then surprised her co-stars by adding that she approved of the move, saying ‘It adds another dimension [to the wedding]’.

Comedian and co-panellist Mike Goldstein also voted for grand final day as an acceptable wedding day and suggested that a ‘footy’ theme could be incorporated into the ceremony.

He said the celebrant could show the famed two-fingered salute umpires use to show fans that a team has ‘scored a goal’ after the bride and groom finally wed.

Launched in 2021, The Hundred is a comedy panel show in which 100 people appear live via Zoom on a giant screen in the studio.

The aim of the show is to determine who knows Australia best, the celebrity guests or the 100, who have been carefully selected to best represent the demographic make-up of the country.

It comes after Andy Lee has revealed one unexpected change in his relationship since he proposed to Harding.

The Aussie comedian popped the question to his longtime partner in April after 10 years of dating.

Now, Andy has opened up about the unexpected way the proposal has changed his relationship with Rebecca as he gushed over their union.

‘You kind of don’t realise the lift in energy [a proposal] will give a relationship so we’re having a ball at the moment,’ Andy told Nine.

‘I didn’t think that that would happen.’

Andy popped the question at the Ravenswood property he and Rebecca are currently renovating, taking his partner completely by surprise.

The radio host revealed he hadn’t told anybody about his plans to get down on one knee before he popped the question.

‘Everyone on the day was saying, “Oh my god, how exciting”, but I had the run up, so it’s funny for the proposer, they’re never quite on the same energy, but it’s been pretty exciting.’

He went public with the happy news on May 1 during his Hamish and Andy podcast.
