Angela Hadchiti lashes out at MP Emma Husar over ‘brutal treatment’

A former employee has lashed out at Labor MP Emma Husar over being ‘brutally treated’ by the embattled politician for six months.

Ex-staffer Angela Hadchiti is one of 22 former staffers who have claimed they were bullied and harassed while employed under Ms Husar.

In an exclusive interview with The Australian, Ms Hadchiti alleges she suffered from a string of abuse under her former boss.

Ms Hadchiti, who started working for the MP last September, alleges she was verbally abused by Ms Husar and intentionally excluded from office activities.

The former staffer also alleges Ms Husar befriended her 20-year-old daughter Elissa and later housed her without her knowledge.

The mother-of-three said that Elissa left home on November 11 and did not say where she was going.

The mother feared the worst and thought her daughter was missing, The Australian reports.

She said she only learned in early December that her daughter Elissa, who recently came out as gay, had actually been taken in by Ms Husar.

Ms Hadchiti told The Australian that she allegedly confronted Ms Husar when she heard the news.

Ms Husar allegedly told Ms Hadchiti that she was ‘too Catholic’ and ‘homophobic’ to look after her daughter.

Elissa returned back to her mother’s home in January.

Ms Hadchiti resigned in February due to an overload of ‘stress’ after working for the Labor MP.

She told the Australian her life was ‘wrecked.’

While Ms Husar has been embroiled over bullying and harassment allegation from more than 20 staff members in recent months, the Labor MP has vigorously denied all allegations.

Emma Husar has faced multiple workplace bullying and harassment allegations from former staffers who accused the Member for Lindsay of treating her staff like ‘slaves’.

Ex employees have alleged they had to babysit her children and pets, perform household duties and even pick up dog droppings.

Details of a letter from an internal Labor investigation over workplace bullying allegations were sent to Ms Husar in May and published by BuzzFeed last week.

Yet Ms Husar hit back and tweeted, ‘This smear is completely and utterly untrue, unfair and hurtful beyond belief. 100 per cent false.’
