Russell Crowe and his girlfriend Britney Theriot made headlines earlier this week when they were turned away from a Melbourne restaurant.

The glamour couple entered Mr. Miyagi’s in fashionable Chapel St. hoping to get a post-workout lunch in their sports gear, but could not get a table because their outfits did not meet the dress code.

And now, reports have surfaced that radio broadcaster Steve Price and his rumoured radio producer girlfriend Sacha French were refused service from the same up-scale eatery for identical reasons.

The Herald Sun reports that the pair were wearing athleisure gear when turned up at Mr. Miyagi’s looking for a meal.

The publication did not offer details of the Price re-buff.

Kristian Klein, who owns Mr Miyagi, supported the decision of his staff, citing what he called ‘slobby gym gear’ for why Crowe and Theriot were refused service.

‘We treat everyone the same. It doesn’t matter who you are or if you are Russell Crowe. We’ve got a dress code that we that we push across every level’ Mr Klein told the Herald Sun on Friday.

Meanwhile, Crowe and Theriot were denied entry, it’s understood, because they were still wearing their tennis attire – on a day when sweat levels were high as Melbourne’s temperature reached 37 degrees.

Crowe’s manager, Grant Vandenberg, told Daily Mail Australia they were turned away while trying to grab ‘a quick bite to eat’.

‘He (Russell) went there wearing a brand new Ralph Lauren polo having just played a game of tennis and was turned away,’ Mr Vandenberg said.

Crowe and Theriot then went to another nearby restaurant for lunch.

Following the encounter, both he and the restaurant have been put in contact to smooth things over.

Mr Miyagi’s dress code states the establishment has a ‘smart casual dress code’ where work gear, active wear, singlets and thongs are not permitted.
