Ant McPartlin PICTURE EXCLUSIVE: Star is reunited with his beloved dog Hurley in heartwarming scenes

He’s currently taking a break from all his TV commitments as his co-host Declan Donnelly presents I’m A Celebrity without him and with Holly Willoughby instead.

Yet Ant McPartlin appeared happier than ever as he was reunited with his beloved dog Hurley as he touched down in the UK with his new girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett on Saturday. 

The Geordie presenter, 43, couldn’t contain his happiness as he outstretched his arms and his pet pooch came bounding over for a cuddle in heartwarming scenes outside the airport.

In fact, Hurley got so excited to be reunited with his owner Ant, that the ITV star even dropped his baseball cap and had to quickly grab his red lead as he jumped around.

After their reunion, the television star walked his pet pooch to their parked vehicle with Anne-Marie following, while a gentleman wheeled a trolley with their suitcases.

Ant cut a casual figure in a pair of black trousers with a matching coloured t-shirt, he layered the ensemble with a black and white baseball-style jacket.

He teamed the items of clothing with a black baseball cap, rucksack and platform-style trainers. 

Meanwhile, Anne-Marie looked effortlessly chic in a black and white star patterned jumpsuit, which she layered with a leather jacket. 

She completed her look with a pair of white trainers, a purple shoulder bag and a black handbag. 

The former PA looked equally as happy to be reunited with Hurley as she sweetly smiled at her boyfriend’s reunion with his beloved pet pooch.

Ant’s appearance comes as he currently takes a break from all his TV commitments following a difficult year, with a stint in rehab, a divorce from his wife Lisa Armstrong and a hefty fine for drink-driving. 

The TV star’s sidekick Declan Donnelly is currently presenting I’m A Celebrity without him for the first time in 18 years, with the duo’s close friend Holly Willoughby stepping in as a co-host.

Ahead of the show’s launch last Sunday, Ant sweetly tweeted a message of support and good luck for the duo.

Using his official Twitter account with Dec, he said: ‘All the very best of luck to the little fella and @hollywills for the show tonight. Lots of love from the big fella!! [sic]’

Meanwhile, Dec took to Instagram on the same day – which also happened to be Ant’s 43rd birthday – to upload a shot of the pair of them dressed as Homer and Marge Simpson.

He captioned the shot: ‘Happy Birthday Homer. Love, Marge x’

A source close to Dec has also insisted that he and Ant aren’t going anywhere as a twosome.

Responding to rumblings that Dec was getting a flavour for presenting without his long-time TV partner, the source told The Mirror: ‘There is no rebrand of Dec as a solo act, he is very much looking forward to working with Ant again in 2019.’

The pair are said to have flown off to be alone, away from the hoopla, to enjoy some winter sunshine and celebrate Ant’s birthday.

Ant currently shares his pet pooch, Hurley, with his ex-wife Lisa Armstrong with the two reportedly in the process of drawing up a rota for shared time with the dog after purchasing him together in 2013.  

According to the Daily Star, the former couple – who, since their January split, have been spending a week each with the pooch – are said to be ironing out an agreement that would see Hurley endure as little disruption as possible.

The 42-year old is understood to have credited the Labrador with helping him through his well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse issues, with Hurley even given allowance to visit him at a residential rehabilitation centre.

Hurley, who has been with Ant and Lisa since 2013, even accompanied the star during Britain’s Got Talent auditions at the London Palladium during annual Bring Your Dog to Work Day in February.

The presenter’s attachment to Hurley is said to be so strong that he even received birthday cards filled with the dog’s paw prints during his month long stays in Australia for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

As Ant moves on with new girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett, faithful Hurley has been pictured with the couple during various strolls close to their west London home.

Just last month, Ant and Lisa’s divorce was finalised, after eleven years of marriage, in a 30-second hearing after he admitted adultery with his new girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett.

The I’m a Celeb host and his teenage sweetheart had been together for 23 years and married in 2006 but announced the end of their marriage in January.

Court documents revealed that McPartlin had ‘committed adultery’ and that his former wife found it ‘intolerable to live with’ the TV star.

Under divorce laws, Ant technically had to admit adultery because he was still married when the relationship began.
