Ant McPartlin still appears in gambling ads: Betting firm backs presenter after drink-drive charge

Online gambling company 32Red ‘will stand by’ troubled TV presenter Ant McPartlin as the face of their advertising campaigns following his return to residential rehabilitation.

The Gibraltar based organisation has a commercial deal with ITV that enables them to use Ant, 42, and presenting partner Declan Donnelly for promotional work during commercial breaks on two of their biggest shows.

And they insist they will not pull out of the deal following the presenter’s arrest and subsequent charge for driving under the influence close to his west London home on March 18.

A spokesperson told The Sun: ’32Red has a commercial deal with ITV and we licence the gameshows Saturday Night Take Away and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

‘Our commercial relationship is with ITV and we have created slot games based on the TV shows, rather than a sponsorship deal.

‘At this time we do not have any intention to change the commercial relationship with ITV.’

Ant, whose arrest has resulted in the termination of his £20 million advertising deal with car manufacturer Sukuzi, features in both TV and online adverting material for the betting firm.

The presenter is currently back in rehab following his arrest for drink driving. He will appear in court on April 4.

Ant stepped down from his TV commitments following the incident, with co-host Declan set to present the final two Saturday Night Takeaway shows on his own.

Both were absent from a new Britain’s Got Talent trailer as speculation grows over the duo’s future on the show.

The promotional video stars judges David Walliams, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon in a medieval skit ahead of the variety competition’s return next month.

Ant and Dec do not appear at all despite presenting the ITV show since its launch in 2007.
