Footage from Anthony Bourdain’s final ‘Parts Unknown’ appearance shows the TV chef blasting Donald Trump over his ‘s***hole countries’ comments on a visit to Kenya.
The opening episode of the final season, filmed just months before his tragic suicide in June this year, shows the chef describing how much he enjoys filming as he travels around Kenya tasting dishes and embracing different cultures.
‘Today’s Kenya is phenomenally beautiful,’ Bourdain said in his opening narration.
‘There is a growing middle class, a highly rated educational system and an enthusiastic and multilingual professional sector. Which is to say this is decidedly not a s***hole.’
Bourdain filmed the Kenyan segment of Parts Unknown in March just three months before he was found dead while filming the show in France
The TV chef filmed the Kenyan program with host W. Kamau Bell and told him he loved filming so much he sometimes ‘pinched himself’
Bourdain was referring to comments President Trump made about African countries, amongst other poorer nations, that he called ‘s***hole countries.’
He filmed the Kenyan leg of the series with TV host W. Kamau Bell in March, just three months before his death, and told Bell of his lust for life.
‘As soon as the cameras are off the crew will be sitting around having a cocktail,’ Bourdain can be heard saying in one segment.
‘I f*****g pinch myself. I cannot f*****g believe that I get to do this.’
Bourdain was found dead in his hotel room having committed suicide while filming the French portion of Parts Unknown.

Bell later tweeted as the episode aired saying: ‘This conversation me and Tony had on the hill was one of the best experiences in my life. I knew it at the time & [it] means even more now. Thank you, Tony.’
Parts Unknown began in 2013 and was among the first shows picked up by CNN Original Series.
At the time, Bourdain had overcome drug addiction and had found success with his book about the realities of working as a chef.
He had been working on the Travel Channel when CNN decided to hire him.
In June, he had just spent several days with his girlfriend, the actress Asia Argento, in Italy when he traveled to France to continue filming.
