Jennifer Lopez has released the new documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told, which reveals some new details about her film This Is Me: Now.
The documentary is the third part of the multimedia project which included her album This Is Me Now and her musical companion film This Is Me Now: A Love Story.
While the album and the film were both released on February 16, the documentary dropped on Monday, revealing Anthony Ramos was sought for the film.
The 54-year-old singer and actress – who celebrated twins Max and Emme’s 16th birthday in Japan – was speaking with wardrobe supervisor Shawn “Beezy” Barton during rehearsal, when she revealed he turned it down because he’s friends with her ex, Marc Anthony.
‘Anthony Ramos was going to do this. He was going to do the Rebound number with me. And he was like, “Ah, I’m friends with Marc,”‘ she revealed, referencing Lopez’s ex Marc Anthony.

JLo also shared three new snaps on Instagram on Monday evening
The snaps showed her wearing leather and fur, adding a sarcastic comment in the caption
‘Oh JLo, I’m a fan of yours, but a fur coat?! Leather outfit, and an alligator bag? How many animals do you you need to kill for a fashion statement?’ she said in the caption
The song Rebound references being in a rebound relationship, which may likely refer to her relationship with Marc Anthony.
The two tied the knot in 2004, just a year after her first engagement with Ben Affleck was called off in 2003.
The documentary also depicts Lopez calling Ramos, with her telling him, ‘I didn’t know that you and Marc were good friends. I didn’t know that. That’s nice.’
She insisted that she would never call out, ‘the father of my kids’ in the film, who she shares 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with.
‘I’m never going to do anything that’s going to really pinpoint him out,’ she insisted, though Ramos responded, ‘Yeah, I just think that people are going to think that … You know how the media is.’
Lopez responded, ‘Isaid, “But if we only did our art thinking about what the media’s going to say, what the f**k are we doing?”‘
She added that the film was, ‘very meta,’ adding that the Rebound sequence isn’t about just one specific relationship.
‘It is about kind of the 20-year journey between that last album and this album. A lot of things happened. There were a lot of relationships that I was in,’ she said.

‘That thing that you’re playing in it is representative of many relationships, not one specific relationship,’ she admitted.
Ramos wasn’t the only artist to turn down JLo for the film, with Taylor Swift, Jason Momoa, Jennifer Coolidge, Lizzo and Ariana Grande also declining to participate.
Others who turned down a chance to star in the project were Snoop Dogg and Khloe Kardashian, with JLo speaking to why many may have turned it down.
‘People scared, scared to put themselves out there. I get it. Took me a long time. I’m scared. I don’t act like I’m scared. That’s the secret to my whole f**king career.”
