Anya Taylor-Joy sports a chic blazer and maxi dress as she heads to Sydney Opera House

She’s spent the past five months Down Under filming George Miller’s Mad Max prequel Furiosa.

And Hollywood star Anya Taylor-Joy played tourist on Sunday as she visited the iconic Sydney Opera House with her father Dennis and mother Jennifer.

The actress, 26, looked effortlessly chic as she arrived at the landmark flanked by her parents.

She sported a chic grey blazer and cream-coloured maxi dress for the outing. 

Tying her famous peroxide locks back into a plait, Anya completed her look with red lipstick, quirky sunglasses and a pair of black-and-white loafers. 

Anya was also proudly wearing a ring on her wedding finger, following rumours she has secretly married her partner, musician Malcolm McRae. 

Style appears to run in the family for Anya, as both her parents also put on quite stylish displays for their day at the theatre.

Dennis wore a blue-and-white print shirt, jeans and a pair of blue sneakers. 

The English diplomat topped off his look with a khaki blazer and a matching MCM hat.  

Meanwhile, Spanish-born psychologist Jennifer opted for a black top and printed trousers.

Born in Miami, Florida, Anya is the youngest of six children.

The starlet has been in Australia since May filming the titular role for Furiosa, which also stars Chris Hemsworth.

Set to be released in 2024, it builds on the post-apocalyptic franchise made famous by Mel Gibson in the 1970s and 1980s.

It has been a whirlwind few years for Anya, who rose to prominence in the 2020 adaptation of Jane Austen’s Emma.

She won a Golden Globe for her role as orphaned chess prodigy Beth Harmon in Netflix drama The Queen’s Gambit, and was on the big screen in April for the historical epic The Northman.

Anya is now preparing for the release of her new horror film, The Menu. 

Directed by Mark Mylod, The Menu follows an affluent couple who travel to a remove couple to enjoy a lavish private dining experience created by an eccentric yet celebrated chef, played by Ralph Fiennes. 

As the courses are served, the diners slowly discover that the kitchen staff actually have a more insidious purpose for putting on the event.   

‘I’m fascinated by the idea of extreme privilege and how it perverts humanity,’ Mylod told Empire of his new film.  

‘So while the film is comedic, there are thriller and horror elements, too. I like things you can’t easily put into one box.’
