ANZ Bank is racing against the clock to fix a nationwide technical glitch which may see thousands of customers not access to their monthly pay until Monday.
The bank has confirmed technicians were working hard to fix the issue on Friday night but warned some customers may be impacted over the weekend.
The glitch that has arisen from bank branches affects big institutional payments.
It means customers who are paid on the 15th of each month, which may result in not seeing their pay in their account until Monday.

ANZ assured customers the glitch doesn’t affect day to day banking services.
‘There’s no impact on access to existing funds at ATMS, internet banking, apps or merchant terminals,’ a spokesman told Daily Mail Australia.
The cause of the technical glitch is currently unknown.

The spokesman was unable to say when it will be fixed or how many customers could be affected.
Affected customers have taken to social media to vent their anger.
‘How does a bank of your size have issues with network? Plan ahead, my monthly pay run has been delayed because of your inferior network, network engineers and architects and the rest of your IT team need a round of applause,’ one man wrote on Twitter.
Another posted on Facebook: ‘Our payroll are still waiting at work for you to get your act together not to mention the staff waiting on their monthly pays who I imagine some would have mortgages coming out on the 15th?’
